St.Joseph’s Matric School was started on the 1st of July 1981 by the Franciscan Sisters of Presentation of Our Lady, Coimbatore at the request of the Managing Director of SIPCOT.

The school had a very humble beginning with barely two sheds as class rooms under its founder Principal Very. Rev Mother Stella.
